Common GSM Codes or USSD Codes and Their Use

These are some of the common GSM service commands (or service codes), also called USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) codes and their use.

Call Redirection

*#61# To check status of redirection of all incoming calls, if there is no answer.

##002# To Cancel redirection of all calls

Call Waiting or Holding

*43# To activate call waiting or holding

#43#  to deactivate call waiting or holding

Call Barring

*33*password# To bar all outgoing calls. Call barring password is given in between the * and #.

#33*barcode# To deactivate or cancel all outgoing call barring

#330*password# To cancel or deactivate all outgoing and incoming call barring

*331*password# To set or activate barring for all international outgoing calls

#331*password# To deactivate or cancel barring of all international outgoing calls.

*332*password# To activate barring of all international outgoing calls, except intercities

#332*password# To cancel or deactivate barring of all international outgoing calls, except intercities

*333# Activate "0 required within network" servie

*35*password# Bar all incoming calls

*351*password# activate or enable barring of all incoming calls when on roaming network

Conference calls

**43# to enable conference calls.(up to 7 calls at once)

SMS Barring

*35*xxxx*16# To block SMS reception (if spammed by someone)

xxxx is your Call Barring code (default is 0000).

#35*xxxx# To remove this sms barring

Detailed delivery reports for SMS

Add *0# or *nm# on the beginning of a txt message- To get detailed delivery reports ( supported on some networks)

Sim Card Pin Blocked

When the sim card-pin blocked: **042*old pin2*newpin2*newpin2*

Call Diverts

**21*Num# To divert ur calls dial (Num = the desired number to where call is to be diverted).

##21# To Cancel divert dial
